Starting at the very beginning, God begins to share his rescue plan with the world. This rescue plan has one main character: Jesus. These printable egg cards and devotions were designed to draw your attention to The Rescuer who came in the flesh to live, die, and RISE AGAIN!

I’ve chosen four Old Testament Stories that point to Christ {fall in the garden, Abraham and Isaac, Joseph, and Jonah}, stories from the life of Jesus, and stories of his death and resurrection.

Easter Reading Plan + Printables for Kids

What you’ll need:

  • The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones – If you have or teach young children, this book is a MUST. She writes things in such an amazing way that will make you cry {and I’m not typically a crier.}
  • Your Bible – The daily reading plan also has Scripture verses you can read.
  • 12 plastic eggs
  • a permanent marker to write 1-12 on the eggs
  • a basket/container or place to hide the eggs, one day at a time

How to Use the pack:

The pack has twelve cards you’ll cut out and put into plastic eggs that are labeled with the numbers 1-12.

Younger children may enjoy it if you hide the numbered egg every day. Older kids may prefer to just pick the numbered egg out of a basket.

A 12 day Resurrection Sunday reading plan goes along with the printables. Use this reading plan starting 12 days before Easter (or double up some days). The story you need to read from The Jesus Storybook Bible is listed. A Scripture passages is also listed on each day that correlate with each story.

If you miss a day or two in your 12 days, it’s okay! You can combine two days on the same day to catch up.

Enjoy teaching the next generation God’s Word!
